They're Goin' To The Chapel And They're....

Yay for my cousin, Steph, and her fiance, Ray!

(I remember how fun it was to call The Hubs "my fiance"!)

They just got engaged the other night....

at my house...

while babysitting Tink and Goose!

They'd talked about spending forever together, but he had yet to officially propose.
Since Steph wants to have the wedding next spring, we knew he had to get moving and ask her pretty soon.

But, he didn't seem to be in any big hurry.
In fact, when we (meaning I) mentioned he may want to speed it up, he just laughed.
Typical.
I don't think The Hubs takes me seriously either.
Ray is gonna fit right in with this family...

So, Steph had been waiting.

And disappointed many a time when she thought it was the big moment... and it wasn't.

However, Ray evidently decided that the perfect time would be after they'd eaten dinner together at my house.

Possibly because she'd never expect it.

Smart man, that Ray.  :)

I guess it is one of their "things" to share a chocolate after they eat dinner.
Ray managed to carve out the inside of one of their chocolates & have the ring inside.
Such a sweet idea!

Ha.  Did you catch that pun?
Sweet idea?
Duh-duh-cha!

Anyway, Steph unwrapped the chocolate, immediately started crying, and totally said she'd marry him!

At least, I think that is how the story goes.  The Hubs and I weren't here.  Did I mention they were babysitting my monsters?

Of course, as soon as I got home, I started snapping pictures.
I really love this one.

This is where the proposal happened... In front of my microwave.  Super romantic stuff.  ;)

Steph already looks like a pro in the way she is showing off that ring.

Ray looked so happy.

And Steph was making a lot of phone calls.
There was an insane amount of squealing going on.

I'm just so happy for them!
They are great together and I know they will enjoy a long, wonderful, blessed marriage.

Congratulations, Steph and Ray!

We love you!
